    Overview

    HVAC Engineer is primarily responsible for the repair and maintenance of HVAC and refrigerant units of the resort. Additionally, they are responsible for preventative maintenance, resort operations, repair and modifications to the chillers and air handlers. 

    Responsibilities

    • Maintenance and repair of all refrigeration equipment, HVAC systems, chillers, air handlers, and ac units. 
    • Performs repairs for the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning and refrigeration systems in the hotel facilities.
    • Respond and attend to guest repair requests. 
    • Makes periodic rounds to all area to support equipment and maintains operating log of conditions observed. 
    • Knowledgeable in methods to do advance troubleshooting of refrigerant system, control system and skilled in reclaiming refrigerant, insuring proper regulatory paperwork on same. 
    • Test, troubleshoot and perform basic repair on all types of equipment when required.
    • When required perform basic repairs and troubleshooting like plumbing, electrical components, vacuum cleaners, internet devices, replace electrical switches and bulbs, and other guest room items. 
    • Recharges a variety of air conditioning and refrigeration systems by selecting the appropriate refrigerant. 
    • Perform other reasonable job duties as requested

    Qualifications

    • Candidates that have graduated from a high school and/or a technical school are preferred.
    • Education should include at least two years of technical training.
    • At least five years prior work experience as a HVAC Technician/Engineer.
    • Experience in the hospitality industry will be considered a definite plus.
