Overview

The Counter Person/Attendant is responsible for performing a variety of duties within their assigned food and beverage areas. These duties include executing customer transactions, preparing food and beverage items, expo food behind the line in the kitchen, cleaning both before and after closing, stocking food and merchandise as needed, completing daily inventories, and performing all other responsibilities as directed. The attendant is required to open and close the assigned areas while following opening/closing procedures. This role also requires the ability to use a point-of-sale computer system to complete guest transactions and assisting guests with kiosk ordering.

Responsibilities

  • Engage and greet guests/team members in a friendly professional manner
  • Prepare food and beverage items using standard ingredients recipes and practicing portion control if applicable to your assigned outlet
  • Assist guest with Kiosk ordering
  • Demonstrate knowledge on food and beverage products and make suggestions to guests.
  • Ensure all food areas are replenished and stocked in a timely manner.
  • Assist with kitchen in prepping food before opening of outlets (salads, pizzas, condiments, etc.)
  • Expoing food behind the line in the kitchen to streamline the ordering process and push out food to guests in a timely manner.
  • Complete daily requisitions for all food, beverage and retail items.
  • Responsible for assigned station/side work duties
  • Scoop ice from ice bins, transport to service areas and replenish ice containers for usage.
  • Follow daily side work check list sheet.
  • Ensure cleanliness of FOH/BOH areas
  • Responsible for adhering to sanitation and safety policies
  • Ensure proper signatures are collected on credit card and room charges and collecting cash if applicable to outlet. Validating charges by providing guest with recipe of sale. Ensure accuracy when balancing all monies.
  • Ensure appearance of uniform are in good clean condition. Adhere to employee appearance policy as indicated in the employee handbook.
  • Adhere to the policies of the Resort as set forth in the Employee Handbook and report any Collect cash from guest for food and beverages served, ensure proper change is being returned to the guest, ensure if guest is paying by credit cards maintain level of security. Ensure proper signatures are collected on credit card and room charges. Validating charges by providing guest with recipe of sale. Ensure accuracy when balancing all monies.
  • Responsible for following all end of shift cash handling procedure.
  • Perform any other job- related duties as mandated by supervisor or manager.

Environment: Indoors – waterpark environment (86 degrees or hotter throughout the year). Hard kitchen floors with occasional slippery or greasy areas. Handling hot trays and carriers as needed from kitchen to front of the house.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Previous restaurant experience preferred.
  • High volume experience.
  • Good food and beverage knowledge.
  • Customer centric focused on providing a positive guest experience.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Previous knowledge of POS systems preferred.
  • Must be able to work indoors in waterpark environment (chlorinated/pool edge)
