Overview

 
The Owner Service Specialist is responsible for managing homeowner relationships, optimizing rental properties, and overseeing asset management to maximize revenue and ensure a high-quality guest experience. This role involves property maintenance, financial oversight, compliance management, and strategic planning to enhance the long-term value of homeowners’ properties.

Responsibilities

 

Key Responsibilities:

Homeowner Relations & Support

  • Serve as the primary liaison between homeowners and Home Host.
  • Provide dedicated support and guidance on hosting best practices.
  • Address homeowner inquiries, concerns, and service requests in a timely manner.
  • Educate homeowners on platform policies, local regulations, and asset management strategies.

 

Home Hosting & Property Optimization

  • Assist revenue and marketing team, staging, and marketing properties for maximum visibility.
  • Optimize strategies alongside Home Host revenue team based on market trends and occupancy rates.
  • Implement guest experience enhancements to boost ratings and bookings.
  • Manage cleaning, restocking, and preparation for guest stays.

 

Asset Management & Maintenance Oversight

  • Conduct regular property inspections to ensure quality, safety, and compliance.
  • Coordinate preventative maintenance, repairs, and upgrades.
  • Work with vendors and contractors to handle property upkeep efficiently.
  • Implement long-term asset management strategies to preserve property value.

 

Financial & Revenue Management

  • Monitor homeowner earnings and provide financial performance reports, with accounting team
  • Develop and implement strategies to maximize rental revenue and ROI with Home Host leadership.
  • Manage operational budgets for maintenance, utilities, and improvements with Home Host Team.
  • Assist in expense tracking and forecasting for homeowners vis Home Host TRACK.

 

Risk Management & Compliance

  • Ensure properties meet local laws, zoning regulations, and safety codes.
  • Guide homeowners through insurance coverage and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Mediate disputes between homeowners and guests when necessary.
  • Implement security measures to protect properties from damage or liability.

 

Reporting & Strategic Planning

  • Provide homeowners with regular performance analytics and improvement plans.
  • Track market trends to recommend property enhancements or investment opportunities.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance, occupancy, and financial transactions.
  • Assist in long-term asset management planning for sustainable growth.

Qualifications

  • Experience in property management, real estate, hospitality, or customer service.
  • Strong problem-solving, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of short-term rental platforms, asset management, and financial planning.
  • Ability to analyze data and provide strategic recommendations.
  • Familiarity with property maintenance and vendor coordination.
