Responsible for strengthening our lifeguard team through the delivery of superior service and safety. This person will be expected to enhance the waterpark experience for both guests and employees through their personal drive, safety oriented behaviors, and commitment to creating a positive working environment. Guests can feel safe and enjoy a worry free adventure at our waterparks under the Supervisor's direction.
This list of duties and responsibilities is not all inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time.
Management of Associates:

Assists in the training, supervision, and coordination of Lifeguards and Park Attendants with Aquatics Management towards ensuring the protection of the lives and safety of park guests
Responsible for the management of the lifeguards in their assigned area, enforcing established rules, complying with regulations and maintaining a professional appearance and demeanor.
Follow and enforce established park and employee rules, regulations and procedures.
Perform supervisory tasks of a team, including resolving conflict, coaching and developing others, promoting teamwork, and performance management.
Responsible for assisting the management team in their areas of focus as needed.
Permits and encourages advancement for those Associates qualified and interested in career development.
Works to maintain an efficient, cooperative atmosphere among Associates.
Attends departmental staff meetings and any other meetings as assigned.
Implements strategic cleaning plans for power washing and other tasks as assigned.
Responsible for making sure all guests using the park are wearing the proper wristband. Able to address guests, in an appropriate manner, who are not wearing the proper wristband.
Monitors and tracks departmental staff hours to ensure breaks and payroll are correct/documented accordingly.
Supervises and provides surveillance of swimmers and guests during park hours, special events, and training sessions.
Responds to emergency situations in the assigned zone.
Assists in communicating emergency situations outside of the assigned zone.
Administers and coordinates emergency first aid as necessary.
Enforces the rules and regulations of the waterpark.
Provides superior customer service to all guests by assisting all in a polite and expedient manner.
Assist younger guests with handing out height wristbands for water slides & proper fitting of lifejackets.
Must be open to new training and experiences.
Provides information on park and resort activities and policies.
Performs daily routine chores and maintenance of waterpark to ensure neat and orderly appearance.
Uses appropriate PPE when handling/cleaning up/disposing of all biohazards both in the water or on the pool deck.
Advises Aquatics management of unsafe and unsanitary conditions.
Performing within Ellis and Associates Certification standards.
Must be well groomed, with nametag on always while working on the property.
Must follow all uniform guidelines that are outlined in the employee handbook.
Completes assigned monthly inventory assignment(s).
Assists with the Waterpark Manager on Duty Program.
High school diploma or GED equivalent required.
Must be 18 years of age or older.
Certification in First Aid, CPR and Ellis & Associates Lifeguard Training.
Must be Full Time employee; Availability to work flexible hours and varied shifts including nights, weekends and holidays.
Demonstrated leadership experience with team-oriented approach.
Minimum 1+ years of experience in aquatics operation: lifeguarding, lifeguard training, swim instruction, and CPO/AFO certified.
Good oral communication and problem solving skills.
Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization's policies and applicable laws.
Must be able to create and maintain documents with Microsoft Office including Word, Excel, and Powerpoint.
Responsibilities include planning, assigning, training and directing work to all Aquatics employees; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing both guest & employee complaints and resolving problems.
Successful completion of criminal background check.

Swim 50 yards in 4 ft. of water and retrieve a 10 lb brick at bottom of water.
Ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk and hear for extended periods of time.
Ability to work in a humid, warm environment and be immersed in water for extended periods of time
Position sometimes requires the ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 lbs and up to 100 lbs.
Ability to climb multiple flights of stairs.
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
While performing the duties of this job, regularly exposed to wet and or humid conditions; outside weather conditions and extreme heat. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
