The VIP Manager is responsible for the planning and supervising of the NoHu Restaurant front of the house operations order to achieve guest satisfaction, quality service and creating a vibrant dining experience.


  • Coordinate all large group dining experiences, including written and verbal communication, in person tours, assure proper setting of dining tables
  • Manage reservations for guests using Open Table app.
  • Supervise hosts (two levels) who meet and greet guests as they arrive, offer choice of seating, then escort them to their table and present menu. 
  • Resolve all guest concerns.
  • Supervise the service of guests, being watchful of all attendee and cover count
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with restaurant guests
  • Ensure that all marketing material and menu items are correct and up to date.
  • Interacting with guests via social media to maintain the restaurant's positive reputation.
  • Check restaurant for cleanliness and set up.  Check service stands and aisle areas.  Check tables for cleanliness and sanitation.
  • Read, maintain and make daily entries in the log book to coordinate communication between shifts and management. 
  • Receive records and make any necessary arrangements for reservations and special functions in the restaurant. 
  • Abide by all State, Federal and Corporate liquor requirements pertaining to serving alcoholic beverages.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis. 
  • Perform any other job related duties as assigned.




  • Must have prior experience as a Maitre d' or related position
  • High School Diploma or equivalent required.
  • Ability to use point of sale/Micros
  • Expert skills in reservation applications such as Open Table
  • Ability to lift/carry weight up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable accommodations.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, public etc.
